You
Can Pull Off This Fabulous Runway Trend
Mismatched earrings are
everywhere on the runway and the red carpet. Although this trend may seem
daunting, fear not: you can totally pull it off! Let’s use the fabulous Saoirse
Ronan as an example.
“She rocked the Oscars
with mismatched earrings” says the
Jewelry Empress, just obey these simple rules:
- 1.For
major glam, make sure the earrings are of the same length. Sure, it used to be on trend to wear one
long earring and one shorter one, but wearing two different earrings that are
the same length adds some serious glam to your overall look.
- 2.One
earring should match your outfit’s color, and the other works as an accent. It’s important for both earrings to
match your overall look, however use the mismatched earring to add a unique
twist to your outfit. Saoirse does it perfectly by matching one earring exactly
to her dress, and then using the other earring to compliment her complexion and
her outfit.
- 3.Use
similar styles, but don’t be afraid to be bold. In Saoirse’s case, the earrings appear
to be very similar in shape and style, but that doesn’t mean that you have to
play it safe. Your earrings should make a statement, mismatching them adds the
extra oomph.
- 4.Something
needs to tie the two earrings together. Whether they be different colors of the same material, or
different designs of the same color, something needs to tie the look together. Use
Saorise as an example, her earrings are exactly the same (both Chopard) but one
is made of pearls and the other emeralds. This solves another serious issue:
can’t choose which earrings to wear? No worries, you can do both!
- 5.Most
importantly, be confident! The
best accessory someone can wear is her confidence. Whatever look you decide to
go for, don’t forget to rock it!
Now… which earrings to buy? From The Jewelry Empress, we suggest looking
at the Cristina Sabatini Collection. We have a feeling that any of these beauties
would look great paired with each other!
